Teeth Whitening

Teeth can become dull, stained or discoloured overtime for a number of reasons, including the aging process, staining from food and drink, smoking and medications. Professional teeth whitening is a safe, fast and effective process that can brighten teeth, eliminate discolouration and give you back your shine.

At Priory Dental Care we use professional whitening gels from Boutique Whitening. These multi-award winning whitening gels are a safe and effective way to enhance your smile from the comfort of your own home. It’s easy to apply, comfortable to wear and won’t get in the way of your daily life. And best of all, Boutique Whitening can produce incredible results in as little as 2 to 3 weeks.

Air Polishing

Air polishing is a simple cosmetic treatment that can remove stubborn stains and discolouration, which are difficult to remove with normal daily brushing. It is a very popular treatment giving a natural, brighter smile with immediate results.

This innovative dental procedure gently cleans and polishes the teeth using non-abrasive technology. Air polishing works by using a fine jet of compressed air, water and fine powder particles to remove staining caused by tea, coffee, red wine, tobacco and more. Not only does it remove difficult staining, it can also help remove plaque and tartar build-up, leaving your teeth looking cleaner and feeling fresh. For some patients, air polishing is most effective when combined with a routine scale and polish.

Air polishing is faster, easier and less invasive than alternative methods of deep teeth cleaning. Though it can’t improve the base colour of your teeth, you can achieve a fresher, brighter smile in one treatment, with immediate results.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is the ideal treatment for correcting minor imperfections, and helping you achieve a natural-looking, flawless smile. One of the biggest benefits of composite bonding is that it can often be completed in a single appointment. So, you can walk out the very same day with a brand-new smile!

Composite bonding, also known as cosmetic bonding or dental bonding, is a fast, effective treatment leaving no permanent damage to the natural teeth. A tooth-coloured composite material is expertly sculpted and bonded directly onto the surface of your tooth, without the need for preparatory treatment, impressions or removal of tooth structure. With composite bonding we can restore the shape, colour and symmetry of your teeth with natural-looking results.

Common uses include:

  • Chipped or Broken Teeth – For minor chips or cracks, composite bonding seamlessly restores your tooth’s appearance with a durable solution
  • Discoloured Teeth – Stubborn stains or discoloration that don’t respond to whitening can be covered with composite bonding, creating a more uniform smile
  • Teeth Gaps – Small gaps between teeth can be filled with bonding material, giving your smile a more aligned, balanced look without the need for braces
  • Misshapen Teeth – Misshapen or uneven teeth can be corrected by adding composite material to recontour the size and shape of the teeth, creating a more symmetrical appearance

Our methods use a non-invasive procedure, meaning no drilling or injections. And because it does not require any removal of the tooth enamel, the process is a fully reversible, conservative option for improving your smile.

Veneers

Say “Hello” to newfound confidence by transforming your smile with natural-looking dental veneers

Veneers are a highly effective way to enhance your smile, cover damage and imperfections, and help you achieve the look you’ve always dreamed of.

Veneers are often used when:

  • teeth are discoloured from intrinsic staining (where tooth whitening is ineffective)
  • teeth are worn down, chipped or broken on the surface
  • teeth are misaligned, uneven, irregularly shaped or have gaps between them (and orthodontics is not required)

A veneer is a thin tooth-coloured shell which is custom-made to cover the front surface of the tooth. Veneers are a minimally invasive treatment, so very little preparation of the tooth is needed. Some types of veneers don’t need any preparation at all.

Modern materials and techniques allow us to create veneers which are strong, thin, comfortable and beautifully aesthetic, with the ability to last many years.
