Fees

Our fees are based on providing the standard of care that we feel is appropriate for you. Our Dentists and Hygienist are able to spend more time with you to help keep your mouth as healthy as possible. We also have the freedom to use the best possible materials to restore your teeth and we only use the most skilled technicians to provide us with high quality laboratory work.

Good value is important in dentistry and we don’t want finance to be a barrier to your dental treatment. We will provide a written estimate of the anticipated cost of any planned treatment and ensure that you fully understand when payments are due. If there is any change in your treatment or costs, we will inform you before we proceed. Where clinically possible, the dentist may be able to spread your treatments to suit your finances.

Payment Methods
We operate a “pay-as-you-go” system which means that payment for your treatment will be due on each visit. Treatment involving a laboratory fee will need to be paid for in advance of completion.

You may pay for your dental care by cash, debit card or credit card (unfortunately we do not accept American Express). Payments may be made by cheque by prior arrangement – please speak to reception for further details.

Once dentally fit, there may be the option of joining Denplan Care, our comprehensive dental payment plan. Click here to read more.

Initial Visit Expectations
Your first visit is likely to last around half an hour, and will cost £80.00 plus any necessary X-rays. The dentist will discuss your medical and dental history, then together we talk about and decide any future treatment which might be necessary, including costs and our plans available.

Deposits
We make appointments with the expectation that you will attend at the agreed date and time to undergo your treatment. If you change your mind or other commitments prevent you from attending, we ask you to give as much notice as possible so that we can reallocate your appointment time to another patient.

When booking an initial examination appointment, initial courses of treatment or any non-registered patient appointment, we will normally seek a deposit from you. This payment is your confirmation of your commitment to attend your appointment. Our deposits are normally fully refundable providing sufficient notice of cancellation is given (see below) and will be set at the following levels:

  • New patient initial examinations: £40.00
  • Non-registered emergency appointments: £40.00
  • Appointments of up to one hour : £100.00

In certain cases, we may request a higher deposit (for example, if a very long appointment is being reserved for you). You will be advised at the time of booking if this applies to you.

Notice of Cancellation
In order to be respectful of other patient’s needs, we ask you to give us a minimum of 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend an appointment. This allows us the opportunity to offer the appointment to someone who is in urgent need of treatment.

For details about our late cancellation policy or broken appointments, please see our Further Information section.
